Shriners
The Blenheim Shrine Club is a local philanthropic group that focuses on raising funds for the Shriners Hospitals for Children that provide free care to children all over North America via 22 specialty hospitals.
Collectively, Shriners raise over $2 million per day and the Blenheim Shrine Club is a part of this amazing fundraising effort. The Blenheim Shrine Club is one of about 20 Shriner units that are organized under the Mocha Shriners, which is based in London, Ontario.
The Blenheim Shrine Club hosts fundraising events like Exotic Meat Dinners, a Steak BBQ, Fish Fry’s, and other fun community minded events.
In the past, the BSC has purchased a special hospital bed for the Montreal Children’s Shrine Hospital and special imaging equipment. More information on the Shriners and what they do for the communities and families in which they operate can be found here: https://www.mochashriners.org/
The Blenheim Shrine Club meets on the 4th Wed of most months (2nd Wed in Dec and not in July and Aug) at 7 pm. If you want to help, behind the Blenheim Community Hall is a collection area for pop and beer cans.
The cans are recycled and crushed by local Shiners and sold to raise money for the Montreal Children’s Shrine Hospital system. Dropping off your cans is a little thing that can make a big difference over time. Thanks for your support!
